**EDC HAS A STRICT POLICY AGAINST SHARING MEMBER OR DONOR INFORMATION OF ANY KIND**

Now you can sell just about anything on eBay and donate 10-100% of the total sale to EDC! It takes just a few minutes to register. Here's how it works:

If you have an item to sell:
1.) Create a name and description for the item
2.) Take a digital picture
3.) Register on eBay at www.ebay.com (if you already have a user name and password on eBay, you can skip this part)
4.) Register on MissionFish: www.missionfish.org
5.) Use the Giving Assistant on MissionFish to create your listing on eBay (be sure to designate EDC and a percentage of sales to donate!)
6.) When your item sells, you collect payment from the buyer and ship the item. MissionFish will collect the donation, forward your gift to EDC, and issue you a tax receipt. And you're done!

If you want to buy an item to benefit EDC:
Go to eBay Giving Works: http://givingworks.ebay.com and search for "Environmental Defense Center" where it says Buy Items & Support a Cause.

When you become a member of EDC, your voice is heard through advocacy, community education, grassroots action and litigation. Knowing we can count on your annual donation allows EDC to: be an agency watchdog; guide local groups through the agency and legal process and advocate on their behalf; give citizens a voice in determining the future of their communities; and level the playing field by allowing the public to challenge well-funded, powerful interests and make them play by the rules. With your membership, you receive email action alerts, invitations to special events and a one-year subscription to EDC’s newsletter, The Environmental Defender, featuring project updates, event news and in-depth information on key environmental issues.

Give the Gift of Membership
Remember a special person by making a memorial gift to EDC. Or, contribute in honor of a special occasion or event. For birthdays, anniversaries, or other important occasions, your donation to EDC can be a way to express your admiration for that special occasion or person, while sharing your passion for the protection of the environment.


Electronic Funds Transfer
Your annual support of EDC and its programs can be convenient, easy, safe and hassle-free by using electronic funds transfer. It works like this: you authorize your bank or savings institution to make monthly gift payments of $10 or more from the account you indicate. You will then begin to see the deducted amount on your montly account statement. The deduction will continue until you choose to cancel or change the amount of your monthly gift. Each January you will receive a gift receipt from EDC showing the amount you've given during the previous calendar year. Workplace Giving

• Matching Gifts Program - It may be possible to increase your gift to EDC through a matching gift from your employer. Check with your personnel or human resources officer to gain more information about your company's matching gift policy. Some companies match on a dollar-for-dollar basis, while other companies match at a 2 for 1 or even a 3 for 1 rate. When you send us your donation, just mail your company’s matching gift form with your contribution and EDC staff will do the rest. If you have questions, contact EDC and we can provide matching gift information and assistance.

• Earth Share - Earth Share is a federation of the nation’s leading environmental groups that raises funds cooperatively through workplace giving programs. Earth Share provides you with the opportunity to designate a portion of your paycheck to a variety of charitable causes, including EDC. Through Earth Share, EDC is listed as a donor option in the Combined Federal Campaign and many other governmental, college and university, corporate, and United Way campaigns.
