HONOREES:
JACK & KIM JOHNSON: Singer/songwriter Jack and Kim Johnson whose Kokua Foundation educates schoolchildren about the environment and whose music and concerts encourage sustainability. Coincidentally, you can find Jack on the cover of both Rolling Stone and Outdoor Magazines this month, as well as at the top of the charts for his new album.
JOHN GARAMENDI: California’s Lieutenant Governor John Garamendi has played a critical role in limiting oil and gas development off our coast and has been a strong advocate for environmental quality throughout the State.
SARAH & ANNA SCHWAB: Our first Youth Award will go to Tree Amigos, two teen-agers from Orcutt who have become active land-use advocates.
Because we are expecting an enthusiastic response to this year’s event, it has been moved to Stow House in Goleta, where we will have much more room to stretch out and enjoy a beautiful afternoon. Our auctioneer will be Fund for Santa Barbara Executive Director Geoff Green.
